Hellene is a McKinney resident and local business owner. She is a mother of three daughters
and has been married for over 23 years to her husband, Kenneth Emilio. They enjoy spending
time as a family, and will find them enjoying many events together throughout McKinney!
Before opening Personalized Touch, Hellene dedicated twenty years to the dental field.
When she is not busy being a mom or wife or running her business, Hellene loves to volunteer.
Hellene is a MISD REACH mentor and has volunteered for many non-profit organizations such
as Boomerang Cares, ATLAST, Shakespeare McKinney, McKinney Little Free Pantry, Baby
Booties, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (VBS camps) and works closely with the AEYL program to
employ one of their students during the summer and holidays. Her family business collects toys
for Toys for Tots, and during the summer months, they collect school supplies for local Title 1
schools. Prior to moving to McKinney, Hellene dedicated over 10 years to Habitat for Humanity
in California.

Hellene’s business, Personalized Touch, focuses on the local community. Most days you will find
her networking somewhere within the city and making sure she is making new connections. She
loves sharing her experiences with others as well as providing referrals to local businesses.
Hellene Barillas, Leadership McKinney Class of 2024, is dedicated to the city of McKinney and hopes to continue making a difference.
